Terms of Service

TodoLock ｜ Effective: April 6, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TodoLock ("the app"), an iOS application developed by Stryde ("we", "us"), a sole proprietorship based in Japan. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. For information about how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

1. Service Description

The app is a screen time management tool that restricts access to selected apps based on your task completion status. It is built using Apple's FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings frameworks.

2. Eligibility

• The app requires iOS 17.0 or later on an iPhone.
• The app is intended for users aged 16 and older.
• An Apple ID is required to use the app.

3. Apple Reminders Integration

The app optionally integrates with Apple Reminders via the EventKit API. When enabled, reminders data is processed on-device only and never sent to external servers.

4. Billing & Subscriptions

• The app is free to download. Some features require a Pro subscription: $9.99/month or $39.99/year (¥980/month or ¥5,800/year).
• Subscription charges are billed to the payment method associated with your Apple ID.
• Subscriptions auto-renew. To cancel, turn off auto-renewal in App Store settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will retain access to Pro features until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy.

5. Prohibited Conduct

• Reverse engineering, modifying, or copying the app
• Using the app to harm third parties
• Any conduct that violates these Terms or applicable laws

6. Disclaimer

• The app is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or specific productivity outcomes.
• Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the app, including failure to achieve productivity improvements or data loss.
• Apple system updates may affect certain features.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the app and its content (including design, logos, and text) are owned by or licensed to Stryde.

8. Changes & Termination

We may modify or discontinue the app. For significant changes to these Terms, we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice via the app or our website. If we discontinue the app during an active subscription period, we will work with Apple to facilitate refunds for the unused portion where applicable.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
